Creative Problem Solving (CPS) workshop prepares participants to a much anticipated two-day experience of learning how to think beyond boundaries, open up new possibilities and refine them into creative, potential solutions. The workshop aims to prepare participants with the skillset to prepare 21st century learners to the new challenges of tomorrow. Participants will be exposed to divergent and convergent thinking structures that will allow them to engage learners to identify problems, reframe them through exploring the situation and generating ideas before designing and implementing these ideas.


At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Describe the difference between critical thinking and creative problem solving.

• Develop personal creativity.

• State the best decision given the specific situation.

• Apply processes to assess work issuers and problems and transform creativity into practical solutions.

• Illustrate how individual problem solving styles can foster or hinder productivity and explain new ways to work effectively and productively with your learners and peers.



Ruquyah Gandhi has been in the educational field for more than 15 years around Asia. Her extensive experience in teacher’s training, course and program development. Her work includes materials preparation, evaluation and assessment of teaching method for the diploma in leadership and teaching in the early childhood education. She has experience in various learning and thinking strands based on the 21st Century skills on teachers’ professional development and strategic planning in Russia, ORLEU, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Dubai and Brunei. Ruquyah is co- founder of Global Educators Educational Research and Development and Director of Education in Singapore Academy Educational Excellence- SAEE. She has been a panel and advisor on many international schools and seminars on education. She is an international expert on education reforms and policy on early childhood education. Her recent interest in educational entrepreneurship.
