Mohamad Ridwan Bin Othman

Mohamad Ridwan Bin Othman

With more than 18 years in the education, eLearning and educational technology industry, Ridwan is both an educator and learning technologist at heart. He has taught in several institutions and he understands the pedagogical and logistical challenges to engage and motivate the learners of today. As a learning designer and learning technologist for more than 15 years, he also knows the technical side of implementing learning tools to enhance learning and teaching. He has trained more than 1000 teachers in K-12, Higher Education and the corporate sector on many aspects of learner-centered pedagogical approaches and on learning technology solutions.

Amutha Navamoney

Amutha Navamoney

Amutha has 27 years of experiences in higher education. She passionately grew interest in adult learning and continuously strives to improve pedagogical practices, assessment and learning design through deep reflection and evident-based learning. Her area of expertise in pedagogical training is teaching and learning methods and strategies, curriculum design and development, assessment rubric and evaluation instrument and learning system design.

Hairil Izwan

Hairil Izwan

Hairil has over 11 years of experience in various roles within the learning industry, especially in education management and consultation. Possessing practical knowledge in project management backed with extensive ICT background, also allows him to design and conduct various training & program development, managing stakeholders and client relations including certification testing and designing assessment activities. He is certified in 11 globally recognised professional certifications from various IT organisation such as Microsoft, CompTIA, EC-Council and Axelos. He is also currently serving as a visiting external examiner for his alma mater – University Technology of Petronas.

Ng Joo Hui

Ng Joo hui

Joo Hui’s experience in the education technology industry has been focusing on user and teaching experiences which goes together with the technology transformation process. He was certified as a Google Education Trainer during a project delivering the Chromebook Professional Development programme for teachers throughout Peninsular Malaysia. Since then, he is actively supporting the Malaysia’s GEG activities to promote the culture of learning and sharing among educators.


Professor Carmel McNaught

Professor Carmel

Carmel is Emeritus Professor of Learning Enhancement and former Director of the Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research (CLEAR) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She is also Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. She has over four decades in teaching and research in higher education in Australasia, southern Africa and the UK in chemistry, science education, equity in education, second-language learning, eLearning, and higher-education curriculum and policy matters; has served on the editorial boards of 18 international journals; and is a prolific author with over 350 academic publications; recent publications and activities can be viewed at http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/clear/people/Carmel.html. Carmel is now a higher-education consultant, working globally, in institutional policy, professional development, research support and academic writing.

Glen O'Grady


Glen is the Director for the Centre for Higher Education, Learning and Teaching (CHELT) at the Australian National University. His passion is educators who can make a difference in the lives of students. Glen’s research is on learning, assessment and approaches to teaching that foster deep learning – in particular Problem-based Learning. Glen has run professional development programs both in Higher and Vocational Education in a wide array of countries. He serves on the executive of a number of national and international education associations including The Pan American PBL Association and The Council of Australian Directors of Academic Development.



Greg is an educational consultant working across the educational sector throughout New Zealand and internationally focusing on developing strong teaching and learning relationships through strengthening relational capacity and the use of restorative practices. This includes specific skill training for teachers and students across the continuum of restorative approaches, through to school strategic and leadership development, and whole school change. He is passionate about developing the potential and capability in those he works with, sharing strategies that are practical and real.

Grace Leong


Grace is the Programme Leader in Learning Enhancement and Senior Lecturer in Theatre at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). She has a wealth of professional experience working and collaborating with many performing companies as well as museums and art houses. Notable partners are Dance Horizon Troupe, Paper Monkey Theatre, MOCA Museum of Contemporary Arts Singapore, TCR Music Station Singapore, SHHKDT Singapore Hokkien Huay KUAN Dance Theatre and People’s Association Talent Advisor Panel.

Dr Esyin

Dr Esyin is an interdisciplinary academic in IT and Education who is committed to on-going research and practice of seamless technologies with assessment and feedback analytics. Her key role at the Centre is to build on the University’s existing excellence in Blended Learning and Academic Integrity. Working closely with academics and supporting staff across the University’s groups, Dr Esyin was the key person in delivering the University’s targets in response to the Welsh funding council’s strategy for technology enhanced learning, teaching and assessment by advising and supporting fellow colleagues across faculties in their curriculum design, development and delivery with the blend of technologies.


Andreas is a Master Trainer of Asia Mind Dynamics and Certified Trainer for NLP, Hypnosis, NLP Coach and the Language and Behaviour Profile. He started his work in Malaysia in 1993 at UNDP in Prime Minister’s Department, assisting the government of Malaysia in developing a National Spatial Development Plan. Since then, has lived and worked in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia but travelled across the region to execute regional and global projects. As an engaging speaker and motivator, he is also frequently invited to speak in many HR conferences around the world.

Ahmad Shah

Ahmad Shah has been in IT since 1993 and worked for Apple from 1999 to 2006. While at Apple, he conducted training courses for Apple’s customers in the enterprise and education markets in the South East Asia Region. He is an Apple Certified Technical Coordinator, and has been an Apple Certified Trainer since 2008, certified to teach OS X Support Essentials and OS X Server Essentials. He has also conducted OS X and iOS introduction sessions for many private schools in Malaysia.

Khairul Anwar

Khairul Anwar

Khairul puts premium on innovation and execution simply because it’s the only measure of success. Currently, he is an active advocate of design thinking and open online courses. His interest is in people development, leadership behavioral change and innovation skills development. He had volunteered at Teach For Malaysia, LinkAges, MAGiC, Coursera Global Translator Program and was the Vice Chairman at Genovasi Alumni.

Dr Frances

Frances’ purpose in life is to inspire leaders and their teams to break their ‘mental barriers’ and ‘raise the bar’. Equipped with a myriad of work experiences bridging executive coaching, global leadership, cross-cultural training and leadership development work, Frances enables leaders to achieve their stretched targets utilising their resourcefulness. As an academia moved into being a management consultant to MNCs in Malaysia and overseas; Finland, Denmark, Australia, China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei. Her executive coaching career expanded into organisations that were both public listed and private, MNCs and GLCs. They spanned over a range of industries such as Banking and Finance, Property and Hotels, Oil and Gas, Telco, FMCG, Insurance, Medical and Education.


Jeyaraman has taught students, teachers and the public for the last 20 years in Malaysia and other countries. His training areas are focused in memory techniques, mind-mapping, creative thinking and creative teaching. As a trainer, he is a professional member and Vice President of Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers (MAPS). He is a Licensed Tony Buzan Instructor for Mind Mapping and a PSMB Certified Trainer.


Prof Dr Zoraini is the President of AIDA (Association for Instructional Design Advancement) and an educational consultant focusing on design, development and implementation of learning innovations in general and online learning in particular. She has over 30 years’ experience consulting, training and speaking in various countries such. She was a columnist in The Star, New Straits Times and Utusan Malaysia with about 800 articles advocating the use technology in education. She was named second among 14 influential higher education leaders in Southeast Asia and received an Education Leadership Award from the World Corporate Universities Congress in 2014.

Hasnain Zahar


Hasnain is working as e-Learning Assistant Manager at International Medical University (IMU). He has more than 15 years experience with implementing e-learning in higher education. He has a passion for new technologies, social collaboration strategies and the impact they have on learning. He has done research in several key e-learning areas, including mobile collaborative learning, educational gaming, virtual classrooms and many more.

Chan Chee Keng (Ken)

Ken has been with the financial and insurance services for over 20 years. He has conducted numerous workshops in Leadership, Service Management, Professional Development, Emotionally Intelligence Management and Motivation. Since 2014, Ken serves as a commercial mentor for Malaysian Development Corp (MDec) to coach the recipients of MDec funds to strive for the best-in- class performance, profitability towards the success of the companies.


Jonny is a successful speaker and trainer from the UK who has also worked in Hong Kong and Malaysia. Jonny speaks and trains on the topics of Leadership, Public Speaking and Human Resources. An entrepreneur who was brought up in the UK and has lived in Hong Kong, Jonny has a fascinating backstory. He is well placed and qualified to speak about contemporary and relevant issues that impact the workplace and society today. Jonny is a big believer in the empowerment of the individual. Allowing a person to discover their talents, skills and enabling them to take responsibility is a key feature of Jonny’s outlook. Jonny is a Certified Corporate Trainer qualifying from the US and a member of The John Maxwell Team (JMT).


Eleanor is an independent master trainer for Ministry of Education Malaysia where she trains lecturers from Teacher Training Universities on the project called “Computational Thinking and Computer Science Teaching Certification Programme for Master Trainer”. She obtained her Master Teacher on Computer Science Golden Certificate from Carnegie Mellon Robotic Academy, Pittsburg, US in 2015. To-date, she has trained up to 130 lecturers and about 300 teachers on Computational Thinking. These educators were from Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, Cambodia and Malaysia.



Zaid is a Learning Innovation Specialist with over 15 years experience in education. He has done research, given talks and facilitated workshops in several areas, including Open Educational Resources, Massive Open Online Courses, social media, gamification, flipped classroom and instructional design. He has passionate interest in understanding how the brain learns, and how we can improve our ability to learn (how-learn), remember, think and innovate.


Sailendra is a senior designer, founder and principal trainer of Words and Visuals Studio, Kuala Lumpur. Sailendra is a practising designer specialising in Graphic Design and Visual Communication since 1999. Post-design industry, Sailendra has been in the academic industry since year January 2007. Beginning as a lecturer and later progressing to the role of Head of School for the School of Graphic Design from Oct 2011 till May 2014 before setting up Words and Visuals Studio in July 2014.


Peter is one of the SIYLI teachers. Previously, he was a director at Google and led various organizations, including global search quality evaluation and online sales and operations for Greater China. Prior to Google, Peter worked at Dell in sales, operations and marketing roles in the United States, Europe and Asia. He also held sales management and engineering positions with Rohm and Haas and Argo Scientific. Peter has a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural and biological engineering from Cornell University and both a master’s in environmental engineering and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has worked on mindfulness and meditation programs in settings that range from corporations to prisons and is also involved in efforts that support wildlife conservation and sustainable transportation.

Peter B

Peter is a social entrepreneur, Learning Experience (LX) designer and longtime practitioner of mindfulness and tai chi. Motivated by passions for learning, mindfulness and innovation, he has founded and worked at multiple socially minded startups. He has also taught and spoken about mindfulness at businesses, schools, nonprofits and for TEDx. He enjoys helping lots of people live brilliantly and joyfully through mindfulness-based programs that focus on customer development, strategy, and designing transformative experiences. Peter is also a mindfulness and emotional intelligence teacher within businesses like Google, nonprofits like International Rescue Committee, and schools – teachings featured on two digital mindfulness apps, Simple Habit and Whil.

Heikal Yusope


Heikal brings with him over 19 years of educational and training leadership experience, specifically in the areas of educational management, academic planning, teaching and training (pedagogy as well as andragogy), pedagogical and curriculum innovation and technology and character and leadership development. Having a vast and rich teaching and lecturing experience, Heikal has worked both in Singapore and abroad, having taught at the Elementary/Primary (Pak Weep School, Khao Lak, Thailand), Secondary/High School, Pre-University, Polytechnic, the Institute of Technical Education and Undergraduate (Monash, University, Melbourne, Australia) levels; at the same time, being actively involved in educational management and leadership, curriculum planning/development and delivery and managing academic programmes which includes overseeing IELTS requirements, TESOL-based programmes and induction of international students. He has been well commended for his excellent teaching capabilities by his students, peers and supervisors, being awarded with an ‘A Grade’ (Ministry of Education, Singapore) during his time as a teacher in a Pre-University Institute. Apart from lecturing, Heikal has delivered a keynote speech at The University of Surabaya (UNESA), Indonesia, on Curriculum Reform, 2013; conducted a full Teacher Training Programme in Nation Star Academy, Surabaya, Indonesia (2015) and conducted an Overseas Education Seminar in Ali Maksum High School in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2014). Of special note, Heikal was also involved in an overseas project with ESPN Sports in Muscat, Oman in 2010.

Mallory Loone

Mallory Loone

Mallory Loone is the co-founder of Thriving Talents and TalentLinkz Resources, which have gotten the interest of banks, insurance companies and MNCs to engage with the youths through her platform. Prior to her entrepreneurship venture, she was trained by world No. 1 consulting firm, Mckinsey & Co.’ under their prestigious Young Leaders Academy. In 2015, she was recognised as a Fellow by President Barack Obama’s Young Southeast Asian Leaders initiatives and has since developed other ASEAN young leaders in Singapore and Jakarta.
